Please can you spare a little time to help members of Eden Sight Support (ESS)
Currently Eden Sight Support has a small team of valued dedicated volunteers who support our activities including: the resource centre and office, fund raising, home visiting, low vision clinics, social outings and producing a quarterly Newsletter.
ESS is always pleased to welcome new volunteers living in Penrith and surrounding districts who may be able to spare an hour or two of their time. Visual Impairment Awareness Training will be provided and you will join a friendly dynamic team. your skills and expertise could make a difference to the daily lives of people living with a visual impairment. For example, would you consider becoming a shopping buddy, personal reader or escorting a member on a short walk? Your help as a new volunteer will enable ESS to maintain and expand its services offered to members.
Eden Sight Support is wishing to recruit new volunteers to help with the following:
- Fundraisers –events, local area collections
- Volunteer Drivers – transportation
- Befriending/home visiting
- Social events: helpers etc
- Administration and resource nentre assistants
- Trustees
